It is necessary at the very inception that you prepare a list of the companies first, where you would like to work as an intern. For this, you will have to do some research on Google from your side about the company. This research will help you to know about the company much better even before you have applied for it in the first place. Read extensively about the company, its vision and mission, its core values, the work culture, the accomplishments and success in various domains and also its future prospects. 

You should also build your LinkedIn profile and connect with these companies. This will help you to get the latest updates, notification and available opportunities provided by the company. You must build an immaculate resume before you apply in the company. A resume can certainly lift you higher and place you in a much better position in your career.
