with IVB So Far
When The Careertrek Company started working with Institute of Venture Building (IVB), the aim was simple, create a learning environment that feels practical, engaging, and built for today’s aspiring entrepreneurs. Over the past seven months, it’s been rewarding to see that vision take shape on campus every day.
We’ve delivered over 600+ hours of in-person classroom sessions and brought 40+ industry experts to the IVB campus. This partnership has turned into a vibrant, hands-on learning ecosystem that’s actively shaping tomorrow’s venture builders.
A High-Energy Orientation to Start the Journey
The journey began with an exciting month-long orientation, packed with experiential activities designed to build a strong foundation in confidence, collaboration, and curiosity. These activities, including the No-Fuel Cooking Challenge, Bidding Mastery, Shipwreck Simulations, Public Speaking, SDG Hackathon and many more ,provided students with opportunities to engage in real-world scenarios, develop leadership skills, and step out of their comfort zones.
The orientation was designed not just as an introduction to the program but also as a way to lay a solid foundation for the students, setting the tone for the entire learning experience. These hands-on activities ensured that from day one, students were immersed in a learning environment that encouraged practical problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Comprehensive Academic & Practical Modules to Prepare Future Leaders
Following the orientation, we’ve delivered several foundational academic modules such as Deep Dive into Business, Business Finance, Product Management, Placement Prep, People Biases and Decision Making, UI/UX & Marketing with Full Stack Development, No Code, Business Communication & Entrepreneurship currently underway. It focused on providing students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to succeed in various entrepreneurial ventures.
Each module is specifically designed to push students beyond traditional theory and into applied, context-driven learning. By combining academic rigor with real-world applications, the curriculum ensures that students are prepared to tackle the challenges they will face in the business world.
Industry Immersion and Sector-Specific Insights
In addition to the academic modules, The CareerTrek Company has facilitated industry immersion sessions across several key sectors, including Retail, AI & Machine Learning (ML), and Cybersecurity. These sessions provide students with valuable exposure to the fast-evolving industries. Students had the opportunity to interact with industry leaders, participate in hands-on activities, and discuss real-world challenges and solutions. These experiences give students the chance to understand current industry trends and gain practical insights into the skills required to succeed in these fields. More sessions are lined up in the coming weeks, further enhancing the students' exposure to diverse industries and career paths.
