At The CareerTrek Company, we believe that leadership begins with the ability to think quickly, communicate clearly, and express ideas confidently. In line with this philosophy, we recently conducted an Impromptu Speaking Exercise for the first-year Newton School of Technology, Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil University Batch 2025–29, and the results were truly inspiring.
The session challenged students to deliver 1-minute speeches on the spot, testing their ability to organize thoughts rapidly, convey ideas effectively, and maintain composure under pressure. This activity went far beyond traditional public speaking—it emphasized critical thinking, creativity, and quick decision-making, all essential skills for academic, personal, and professional growth.
Students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, producing speeches that were not only concise and impactful but also demonstrated their ability to adapt, engage, and persuade an audience in real time. The exercise provided a safe yet stimulating environment where students could step out of their comfort zones, experiment with ideas, and gain confidence in expressing themselves.
The impact of this session was evident: students showed remarkable spontaneity, clarity, and confidence, highlighting their potential to become future leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. Activities like these underscore the importance of experiential learning, where students learn by doing, reflecting, and improving continuously.
At The CareerTrek Company, we remain committed to creating opportunities that strengthen communication, critical thinking, and leadership abilities. By incorporating such practical exercises into the curriculum, we aim to equip students with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in dynamic and challenging environments, preparing them for success in both their academic and professional journeys.
